n-side up InGaN LED Chips
Today´s standard in the market for InGaN – Chips (blue, green and white) is p-side up technology. However, many of our customers still want to use n-side up chips in their designs. Chips 4 Light can offer a vast variety of n-side up chips from stock.
What chips are we talking about?
- InGaN blue and green chips from 8 mil to 60 mil size
- Also n-side up white dice in 20, 40 and 60 mil size
Why n-side up chips?
- Customer doesn‘t want to change the existing design to state of the art p-side up chips
- Common electrode for more chips is needed (red and IR dice are mainly n-side up)
Good to know!
- n-side up chips are usually less efficient than p-side up chips
- n-side up chips have been discontinued by a lot of suppliers
- Older technology but keeps your design-in steady
